The Swedish language belongs to the Germanic languages. Many words are similar to the English or German language, so if you’re English or German, you can understand it easier. The Swedes can understand the Norwegians and the Danes in a quiet good way. Swedish is spoken in Sweden, parts of Finland and in Estonia. About 9 million people speak Swedish. In Sweden there are many different dialects. The Swedish alphabet contains 29 letters.
