Stockholm
The capital is kind of especial. A lot of people say it is one of the most beautyful cities in the world. In fact, Stockholm is not like other cities. Stockholm is situated on the lake Mälaren, and therefore 30% of the city is covered by water. Because of the high quality of the water you can even go fishing there.
Gothenburg
Gothenburg is the second largest city of the country and is located on the west coast of Sweden. The city stands in big contrast to the natural environment around. Compared to Stockholm, Gothenburg is in a much better climatic situation because of the advantages of the Gulf Stream. Therefore the harbour of the city is never frosted. Since 1891 Gothenburg is a academical city.
Malmö
The third largest city lies in the very south of the country and is connected to Danmark since 2000. With the Öresund bridge there was built a metropolitain region between Malmö and Copenhagen. The city of Malmö has many of green areas and typical old houses in the inner city.
Uppsala
Uppsala is the traditional and well known academical city of the country. The city is located about 70 kilometers north from Stockholm. It is one of the most popular cities and many tourists are coming every year.
